Principal's Message

Welcome to Sierra Madre Elementary School!

I am honored to continue to serve the Sierra Madre community as the Principal of SME. I will be starting my 4th year at SME.  Our historic campus offers a tranquil koi pond, an incredibly talented staff, and bright students that make this school a place where curiosity and learning flourish.

Sierra Madre Elementary School is proud to offer an exemplary teaching and learning experience for all students.  The high levels of academic achievement are a testament to the rigorous instruction that our dedicated teachers provide. All students, TK-5th grade, have the opportunity to engage in Art, Music, PE and Gardening classes weekly.  SME is further enriched by the diverse ethnic, cultural, linguistic, and socio-economic backgrounds of our families.

In 2016, Sierra Madre Elementary was recognized as a Gold Ribbon School by The California Department of Education for Community and Parent Involvement as well as in the area of Exemplary Arts.  SME continues to provide distinguished Visual and Performing Arts education to all students TK-5, with Spotlight assemblies as a culminating production. In 2023 and again in 2025, we were  recognized as a California Distinguished school for our high student achievement.  We know that you will love our school community and thank you for joining our outstanding community of learners!
