GATE is a program for students determined to be academically talented. At SME, these students are clustered together at each grade level in a class with a GATE certified teacher in order to provide them with instruction that is challenging, engaging, and allows them to academically excel. Students are tested for the GATE Program at the end of second or fifth grade or by teacher or parent request.
